Husky Alert

Dream Babies

Within six months of the release of Disneys Snow dogs, Siberian husky sales went through the roof , which has brought about an influx of people blindly buying the breed for either its looks, or to jump on the band wagon of what is fast becoming the latest designer dog, or dog in vogue

Several years ago when George the Boxer Dog hit our screens the Boxer became the designer dog, most recently several advertising campaigns on TV have used our beloved breed stemming a further growing demand and interest in the dog, so before you buy a husky PLEASE READ ON .

While Siberian huskies are wonderful dogs, they are not the right animal companion for everyone. They are intelligent, high-energy dogs that can become bored and destructive if they don't receive adequate exercise, training, and attention. they like to dig and roam, can be very vocal, and require a significant amount of grooming.

People who find themselves caught up in the husky fever need to be cautious of individuals who over breed huskies hoping to capitalize on the success of Snow Dogs

Responsible breeders have an involved process for ensuring that their dogs go only to people that are educated about the care and requirements of the breed and who have the time and commitment to meet those needs for the entire life of the dog.

Before buying a Husky you also need to be honest with yourselves before giving in to your child's pleas for that adorable husky puppy, parents should realistically assess how well that active, demanding adult husky would fit into their lifestyle.

Please Please Please only buy a Husky if it captures your heart, not your eyes. The past few years have seen too many Huskies in rescue centres & animal shelters, not to mention the growing amount of Huskies caged and kenneled 24/7 by the ever increasing amount of husky puppy farms.

And if you are sure a Husky is the dog for you. Please only buy from Responsible Breeders. Responsible does not necessarily go hand in hand with the Reputable or Well Known Breeders, pick your pup and your breeder wisely .
