We entreat for them all
Thy mercy and pity,
and for those who deal with them,
we ask a heart of compassion
and gentle hands and kindly words.
Make us, ourselves,
to be true friends to animals
and so to share
the blessings
of the merciful.
Occasionally here at Dream wolves, we havedogs free to loving homes - Rescue and re home dogs, We sometimes foster dogs in need of urgent assistance.
We mostly take in huskamutes, as there is currently no rescue facility available for them, but have been known to take other breeds if need be. Touch wood, we have never had one of our dogs returned, but should it ever happen, details of any re homes will be placed within these pages. And for those of you who maybe able, or are in a position to help, or take on a rescue sibe or mal, the details of each breeds respective rescue can be found below.
AVAILABLE FOR REHOME (posted July 2009)
Our very own Dreamboy Storm
It is with great regret and much heartache that we have decided it is in the best interest of Storm, us and our pack to rehome our gorgeous man.
It has not been an easy decision to reach and we have been wrestling with our emotions for some time now. Many tears have been shed in coming to this conclusion and im sure there are still many more tears to fall so if you feel you may be interested in our boy please be sympathetic to the situation as its really not an easy one for me to deal with.
Due to a multitude of reasons we have made the heart breaking decision to rehome our Boy Storm, we would prefer him to go to house with a placid female as he is very same sex dominant. He has never been a solitary dog and is a beloved family pet. He lives in doors; though he is crate trained. He is used to being staked out as we camp a lot. He is an excellent dog with people and children of all ages though we would prefer a home with a very chilled and laid back enviroment as that is what Storm is used to. He would not enjoy a house full of screaming kids and kiddy mayhem.
He is used to running on a springer and used to a back pack he loves agility, is highly odedient and is very well trained. He doesn't like cats, other small furries or small skitty dogs and he doesn't like most male dogs.
This is not a decision that has been made lightly, in fact it has taken a year of tears to get to this point.
All potiential owners will be thoroughly vetted for suitability and a home check will be done. The transition from our home to yours will be done in stages to cause less upset to our boy and to us as possible. A firm understanding of being alpha is a must. Storm is a very alpha male who would soon take advantage of a weakness so you wil need to prove to us that Storm will respect you and warm to you. He is a very loving dog but not in a mushy kinda way though he does have his moments. He also plays a mean game of footy. Storm is vaccinated to date, microchiped, wormed and in excellent health. He will be available free to the right home and is not to used at stud, but it is of our vets opinion that given his age and his dominance to other dogs neurtering him would only serve to confuse him and other dogs.
We prefer no all day workers we want an active/ sporty family or couple, potential owners must be prepared to go to dog training and would ideally be avid walkers / cyclists or joggers by and large we are looking for a very outdoorsey type of owner/owners storm is used to being a very active dog and may make a good carni cross partner. He must be worked in some way and took to training. If you dont have the time or inclination for working with him please do not waste our time or your own.
Please, please - No time wasters, dreamers or nosey parkers. This decision is hard enough to make and even harder to put into action. Genuine enquiries should be accompanied by one of our puppy questionaires giving us as much information about yourself and why you feel you can offer Storm the right home. We will not reply to emails without a completed questionaire and we will not respond to text messages full stop!
Please Please serious genuine applicants only

BEAR - A MALAMUTE CROSS ( posted July 2008 )
Bear is a Cross malamute (though we are not sure what exactly he is crossed with), whatever he has been crossed with he has been fortunate enough to have been blessed with predominate malamute genes, He has all the typical features, temperament and behaviour of a large wooly malamute. He is a large boy standing at just over 28 inches at the withers at the tender age of just 14 months.
Considering he has not been socialized or mixed with other dogs he is currently running with a pack of 20 sibes which includes 5 entire males, He is very placid and laid back, has been raised with a 2 yr old child. His previous owner bought him as a siberian husky but he just continued to grow and grow and has been re-homed as the owner was unable to handle him physically. She said he pulls on lead (Hell - what does she think sibes do?
).
Bear would make a super companion for the right owner. Home experience with large breeds and a good knowledge of how the K9 mind works is a must. This is a large, powerful dog that is approaching adolescence and will need continued training, socialization and adequate amounts of daily exercise. With the right input he has the potential to be somebody's dream dog.
All serious applicants will need to fill in one our puppy questionnaires and address the email subject as 'BEAR'
